This is one of a handful of shots I managed to take with my tiny gorillapod, before an eager security guard came up and told me I couldn't use such a device. He couldn't explain why, seemed to be similarly bewildered by the policy, almost apologetic.
There's certainly a trend to not let people use tripods in churches. Perhaps there's an entry in the Bible that explains this - describing precisely why God finds tripods so offensive.
