Somewhat understated - the ticket office, such that it is, is just inside the gate.
You hand over your 20 dirham (about A$3) for two tickets, and then get accosted by the lounging guides just beyond who assure you - quite reasonably - that you need someone to explain everything to you.
For another 120 dirham (about A$15) you get a guided tour for an hour or so. All the more impressive given it's 40 Celsius in the shade, there is no shade, and these guys aren't drinking water from sun-up to sun-down. (I do hope it's worth it.)
