The gate adjacent to Bab Chems, but seemingly this one has no name - it leads from the western side of Place Boujioud.
I'd lined up this photo and waited for two guys to walk through and be obscured by the wall - being the sensitive chap that I am - and this goose came back while I was focussing on lining up the top of the shot, then I realised he'd come back to stare at me, evidently with the intent of extracting some cash.
He followed us around Place Boujioud for about 15 minutes rattling coins in his hand and unsettling my other half. When it's 45C in the shade, you don't really need this kind of grief - and it's one of those delightful experiences that can make you feel extra fondly towards a culture/city/country.
